Relationship Therapy
“The body is an instrument which only gives off music when it is used as a body. Always an orchestra, and just as music traverses walls, so sensuality traverses the body and reaches up to ecstasy.” Anais Nin
If you could bring more pleasure into your life, would you?
A favorite quote of mine from Gestalt Therapy, “A whole is more than the sum of its parts”, it reminds me of why I believe a holistic approach is key to relationships and intimacy- Feeling unfulfilled in your relationship is where we often begin, it’s the sign post for “something isn’t working”. However, our first experiences with relationships and intimacy are typically earlier in life, making a holistic approach the most effective in getting you more of what you want out of life, sensuality and relationships.
I mainly use techniques from Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Sexology and The Somatica Method, these modalities are rooted in mindfulness, experiential practice, and bridging the body-mind connection.
In couples work, baring witness to two people reconnecting and learning how to grow together is one of the most meaningful parts of this work. When relationships break down, there can be a variety of reasons, and sometimes you just need another person to reframe and translate so that you are both more open and able to hear each other, meet each other and love each other the best way you can.
*Whether you are partnered, single, or something in between, I welcome all variations of couples and individuals for relationship centric work.
